WHY WE'RE DIFFERENT

Giving Back

Being involved in the community means much more to us than simply providing financial assistance. As a member of the Burlington and Hamilton community, we believe in giving back to where we live and work.

Where Can You Find Us In Our Community?

Burlington Storage Barn was the first self-storage facility in Burlington (unless you count moving out and storing your goods at your parents’ place). For over 40 years we’ve served the Burlington and Hamilton community and have some long-standing customers. We feel a part of the community and like to give back. Here are some of the good causes that we support.

Joseph Brant Hospital Auxilliary:

Joseph Brant Hospital Auxilliary:

We support their Antiques & Collectibles Live Auction, which is held twice each year (in spring and fall), by providing valuable complimentary storage space for the goods that are sold at these auctions.
Renos For Heroes

Renos For Heroes:

We so often hear of our fallen soldiers who have paid the ultimate price but we rarely hear about the ones who come home with life-altering injuries. Some of them come home badly injured from serving overseas and find that they don’t have full mobility in their own home. Yes, the government helps out but even they know that they can't do all the home renovations that are really needed. Jim and Deryl Caruk, who have worked in the building industry, founded Renos For Heroes, to assist these men and women in regaining full mobility in their own homes. Burlington Storage Barn provides them with storage space for their building materials and other storage needs.
Interval House of Hamilton

Interval House of Hamilton:

Interval House of Hamilton shelters women 16 years and older, with or without children, who are fleeing relationship violence/abuse. They offer an array of counselling and legal advocacy services. Today, in addition to the emergency shelter program, they now have three community-based programs that provide counselling, peer support, legal advocacy, and system navigation. Burlington Storage Barn has long supported them with donations.
Burlington Organized Minor Baseball Association

Burlington Organized Minor Baseball Association:

We love BOMBA, otherwise known as the Burlington Organized Minor Baseball Association. This organization brings out the best in their players, girls and boys aged 4 to 18. Burlington Storage Barn has a soft spot for the Rookie Ball players, age 8 to 9, and we’ve sponsored them for many years now. Go BOMBA!
Burlington Lions Optimist Minor Hockey Association:

Burlington Lions Optimist Minor Hockey Association:

The Burlington Lions Optimist Minor Hockey Association (aka BLOMHA) is a volunteer-based organization with approximately 1800 players. They are organized into three progressively competitive levels, beginning with their recreational or House League stream, House League SELECT and then representative Minor Development (Rep MD). Burlington Storage Barn is a loyal fan and sponsor of the Peewee division of their recreational house league teams.

“I am very impressed with the service and quality from the employees here.
If I need storage again, I will definitely return for their service.”
